Alpha is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our team for our Pietermaritzburg area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reconcile and verify bank statements, detecting and resolving any discrepancies
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook, and journal entries
- Handle payments, deposits, and other financial aspects with ease
- Utilize software and accounting systems to streamline processes
- Ensure supplier and customer accounts are accurate, and credit terms are maintained
- Monitor cash spend according to budget and available cash flow
- Ensure financial compliance with tax and other legislation
- Draft annual reports
- Respond to email queries, assist with audit queries, and liaise with stakeholders
- Assist with general administration and ad-hoc tasks as required
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting/ Finance/ Business/ Management
- 1-2 years’ experience in Accounts/ Finance
- 2+ years contact center experience dealing with customers via telephone and email would be advantageous
- Strong Administrative skills
- High standard of customer service
- Well-articulated, good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work UK hours (04h00-13h00/ 05h00-14h00/ 09h00-18h00/ 10h00-19h00 Monday to Friday)
