The Role
We are seeking an energetic and driven Fundraising Manager to join our team.
In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind PAFC’s fundraising strategy with responsibility for identifying fundraising opportunities, building and executing campaigns, crafting compelling and successful grant applications, managing donor communications and overseeing the execution of fundraising initiatives to enhance the club's community programs and strategic capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support revenue targets associated with the club's community programs and strategic capital projects. Identify new fundraising opportunities and revenue streams, including individual giving, philanthropy, community fundraising, and grants.
Donor Relationship Management: Provide high-quality stewardship and communication to ensure donor satisfaction and retention. Identify and engage prospective donors, developing tailored approaches to secure major gifts and long-term commitments.
Grant Writing: Research, identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, family offices, corporations, government agencies, and other funding sources. Manage the full grant cycle including applications, budgets, proposals, submission deadlines, reporting, and renewals.
What you will bring:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in fundraising and grant writing, with a proven track record of securing funds from a variety of sources.
Engagement: Excellent interpersonal and strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders including donors, corporate partners, and community members.
Adaptability: A flexible, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
Passion for Sport and its impact on the Community: A deep understanding of the power of sport in changing people's lives plus the unique challenges and opportunities sport and the Port Adelaide Football Club presents.
