- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the power plant and utilities including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems
- Analyze power plant and utility processes and operational architecture to identify areas for optimization and continuous improvement for enhanced reliability and performance
- Implement state of the art technology and monitoring tools to streamline operations and enhance productivity, ensuring the reliable operation of assets
- Develop and maintain operational processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- As a subject matter expert, support and facilitate the growth and expansion of the asset infrastructure to meet future needs and technological advancements
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, and specialists to develop and deploy applications and tools for reliable power plant and utility operations
- Track progress, document knowledge and processes, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and inspections
- Provide subject matter expert support for power plant and utility related projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Lead and coordinate a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to optimize their performance
- Respond to incidents and emergencies that impact power plant and utilities availability, working diligently to minimize downtime and ensure prompt resolution
- • Promote ADM's safety culture, emphasizing the importance of safety protocols and practices to all power plant personnel
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities and comply with relevant safety, environmental, and energy regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power plant operations
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ensure the delivery of reliable and high quality services in line with plant needs and demands
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Energy, Mechanical or Process Engineering or similar discipline (Certified Engineer, Technician or similar) with an affinity to the energy generation industry or the proven ability to work at that level
- Experience in maintenance practice
- Experience in CHP, Boiler House and Utilities operation
- Experience in administrative work tasks
- Experience in Industrial CHP, Boiler House and Utilities installations including sub-function and energy flow
- Physical Requirements: The work requires access to all parts of the plant, both inside and outside Temperatures vary widely throughout the year. Access to and working at heights required. Working in power generation plants and areas required which belongs to confined spaces, rotating machines, high frequent pulsation areas (heart pacemaker). General strong and healthy condition and stress resistant behaviour.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and power generation understanding
- Basic knowledge of thermodynamics
- Knowledge of steam distribution
- Systems, fluid pumps, compressors, gas turbines, boilers, reciprocating engines etc.
- Experience and passion in reliability and maintenance
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Fluent English
- High level of persistence and conflict management skills to overcome resistance
- Outstanding communication skills
