The Role:
MORI is a truly global business working with curated suppliers and 3PL warehousing partners across the world. The Operations Coordinator will play a pivotal role in controlling the day-to-day of our supply chain and logistics operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth and timely business operations. Additionally, the role involves significant data acquisition, reporting, and change suggestion elements crucial to the success of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Intake management:
- Manage inbound discrepancies checking with both suppliers and 3PLs for cause, rectifying where necessary. Identify trends by accurate and timely reporting, suggesting change based on findings. Managing manual data flow with our 3PL warehouses.
Administration:
- Manage supplier and key stakeholder invoicing ensuring checks are undertaken to ensure accuracy and challenging where required. Processing invoicing ensuring they are passed to the Finance team in a timely manner.
- Managing and updating various trackers and flagging changes and irregularities to the business.
Store Deliveries:
- Work with the Merchandising team to create and upload store delivery orders to systems and 3PL warehouses. Liaise with stores and warehouse and external partners on deliveries and timings ensuring that booking slots are adhered to.
- Reconciling deliveries keeping a keen eye on stock management. Querying and logging errors with relevant stakeholders.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present detailed reports on warehouse performance, shipping metrics, and cost analyses. Provide insights and recommendations to the wider business based on data-driven analysis.
Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects aimed at optimising operations and reducing costs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Operations (preferable).
- 3+ years experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management, with 2+ years in a senior or supervisory role.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of 3PL operations.
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft software suites.
- Experience working within an omni channel sales environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge and experience within the apparel industry is preferable.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
