Aim of the position:
The Digitalization Manager - Products and Services will focus on the digitalization of the Group's Products and Services business units.
- This role will drive the digital delivery of the standardized equipment and create a digital interface between customers and service and spare
parts business to enable a modern and effective interaction between the company and our customers. - As a strategic link, this role will also act as Demand Manager and work closely with the Product Business Line Managers and IT Application Specialists to develop the necessary IT solutions and support internal process changes within the Group.
Tasks:
- Develop and implement a digitalization strategy for the global product lines and the Group service and spare parts business, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving success across the lifecycle.
- Independent project management of digital transformation projects in cooperation with the Product Business Line Managers from strategy to go-live, incl. post-go-live analysis and refinement.
- Analyzing the customer journey and internal processes and identifying pain points to derive potential improvements for the customer experience.
- Development and implementation of improved processes in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams, including support for effective project communication, management of responsibilities and team alignment towards a common goal.
- Oversee the product development process and work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery, including tracking product success after golive.
- As part of the global S/4 HANA transformation, drive the implementation of all engineering activities related to products, spare parts, and aftermarket services.
- Coordination with the subsidiaries regarding the global requirements for the strategic digitalization roadmap.
- Continuous market monitoring and evaluation of new technologies to further develop and improve competitiveness.
- Driving ongoing optimization measures to maintain and improve effectiveness and efficiency in the service and spare parts business.
- Project management
- Independent handling of projects of low to medium complexity or project size in accordance with contractual obligations and the specifications of the Group.
- Is responsible for the economic, qualitative, and time-related results of the assigned projects.
- Regular reporting to IT management on progress, costs, deviations from scope, project risks and necessary corrective actions.
- Coordinating all activities with the relevant stakeholders.
- Compliance with contractual obligations and Group specifications.
- Taking on other tasks and activities that are necessary for business operations.
Requirements:
- Experienced digital product or spare parts manager with product digitalization experience who is ready to lead the digital transformation process for products and services of the group.
- University degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, information systems or comparable.
- 5+ years of experience in a comparable field of activity, preferably in the field of mechanical and plant engineering.
- Passion for building great products to solve customer and business challenges or needs.
- Demonstrated experience in spare parts business and spare parts management in a global environment, preferably in the mining or machinery industry.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in project and change management - Experience with PRINCE2/PMBoK/SCRUM/Agile.
- Sound knowledge of process design and optimization as well as experience in the introduction of tools and new processes in companies.
- Experience with SQL queries and with back-end and front-end programming languages such as Java, HTML, CSS.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems, ideally with experience in customization and integration of modules and external applications.
