Our client, a global leader in advanced welding consumables and automated welding equipment for wear protection, is looking for a manager to lead their Africa Division in Benoni, Gauteng. The position entails occasional travel across Africa, so the ideal candidate must be open to travel as needed. In this role, the successful candidate will strategically promote and market welding alloys products, services, and pricing, while also providing technical support throughout the sub-Saharan Africa region. The Site Manager will report directly to the Managing Director.
Requirements:
- Qualified in Metallurgical Engineering with a specialization in Welding. (Advantage).
- Considerable knowledge of the welding industry.
- Ability to develop strategies for the successful introduction and growth of products
- and services.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Highly developed, demonstrated team player and teamwork skills.
- Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of diverse creative employees.
- Commitment to continuous learning
- Considerable sales experience in the Africa region.
- Leadership and managerial skills.
- Valid Passport and willing to travel to Africa.
- Must possess a clean bill of health and be able to pass all required medical assessments to access client sites.
Duties:
- Customer liaison, sales and marketing, business development.
- Manage the revenue and cost elements of the Division’s statements with regards to sales and marketing.
- To contribute to the development of new initiatives, organize and manage events and services.
- Managing and developing the client database.
- Training and development of the Africa Division sales team.
- Give support to customers on current product range and assist in resolving operational issues they might experience.
