Responsibilities:
Manage and develop business relationships with OEM partners to achieve sales targets. Oversee daily operations within Marketing and Sales Support, ensuring consistent performance and continuous improvement. Develop and implement national sales and marketing strategies for all product lines. Support sales teams in effectively marketing, distributing, and selling the product range. Research market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, making strategic recommendations. Coordinate participation in trade shows and exhibitions, and lead new product launches and marketing initiatives. Conduct quarterly business reviews and maintain industry knowledge through active participation in relevant forums. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies, promoting a safe working environment. Manage financial performance by formulating and achieving departmental budgets and controlling expenses. Lead and mentor teams to drive performance, engagement, and alignment with company values and strategic goals. Analyze territory sales reports and inventory levels to optimize pricing and inventory management. Liaise with partners to curate and develop relevant product content for marketing purposes. Ensure accurate recordkeeping and document management in line with company policies.
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Commercial, or Marketing. Proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably for a technical product. Minimum of 7 years of experience in high-value earthmoving or materials handling equipment. Product & application knowledge, industry knowledge, market analysis, and competitor landscape understanding. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Advanced), insight, forecasting, report writing, copywriting, data analysis, visual composition/design, research, content creation, content curation, training & presentation, negotiation, stakeholder relationship management, sales (specialist/product expert), price competitiveness, and proposal development. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, planning & organization, problem-solving, results orientation, customer focus, commercial effectiveness, financial acumen, credibility, influence, controlling progress, stress management, mentorship, collaboration, conflict management, social awareness, verbal and written expression (high proficiency in English). Office hours with work as required to meet deadlines. Frequent local travel.
