We require an enthusiastic and capable Phase Head of College who is able to create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential. The successful applicant will have to adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. This is a full-time permanent role and its due to commence term 1 2024.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position of Phase Head of College (Operations) encompasses many roles. Generally these roles can be categorized under the following 5 broad areas of responsibility:
1. ADMINISTRATION
The Phase Head of College (Operations) provides assistance to the Head of College by:
• Collating important term calendar dates to be submitted to the Head of College a term in advance including all academic, cultural, social, sporting and outreach events.
• Handling the administration behind all school camps and tours including handling bookings and signing off budgets; ensuring that there is equitable staff involvement on all camps and tours; handling all correspondence relating to camps with parents, staff and camp facilitators; processing camp application forms.
2. OPERATIONS
The Phase Head of College (Operations) provides assistance to the Head of College by:
• Chairing the Sports and Cultural Awards committees.
• Organising termly Sports and Cultural Awards assemblies.
• Ensuring that all staff are effectively involved in the extramural programme by allocating roles and responsibilities on a termly basis.

3. MANAGEMENT:
The Phase Head of College (Operations) provides assistance to the Head of College by:
• Overseeing the setup of special functions including sports festivals and tournaments; cultural events and festivals as organized by the Directors of College Sport and Culture.
• Representing the College on the Health & Safety Committee.
• Assisting the Head of College and providing assistance to the Deputy Heads (Academic and Student Affairs).
Requirements of the role:
Teaching diploma or an undergraduate degree with a postgraduate teaching diploma SACE registered. Ability to teach English Home Language as a high school subject. IEB experience would be an advantage. At least three years senior management experience or five years management experience. An interest and experience in organizing sports-related activities would be an advantage.
