Job DescriptionEames Consulting has been appointed on a Risk Manager opportunity with a Lloyd's Insurer for their London office.
This role is primarily focused on managing the risk management framework with a strong emphasis on qualitative aspects (approximately 90%), while also incorporating a smaller quantitative component (10%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of risk and governance issues related to Underwriting and Sustainability.
- Oversee the quarterly review process of the risk register, with a focus on Sustainability risks, while sharing responsibility for managing risks related to Insurance, Strategy, and Finance.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key departments such as underwriting and finance, ensuring their risk controls are documented, well-understood, and functioning effectively.
- Enhance the risk management framework, ensuring it is aligned with industry standards and responsive to business needs.
- Support the ongoing management of the Emerging Risks register, including conducting detailed reviews on current high-priority issues.
- Contribute to the production of ORSA reports.
- Prepare risk reports for internal committees, including the Risk Committee.
The Ideal candidate will come from an insurance background and will ideally hold a qualification from the Institute of Risk Management or the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
