As a Software Development Team Lead, you’ll be supporting the delivery of cutting-edge software using the latest development tools and frameworks; that support critical business processes, covering the design and implementation of new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
- Identify opportunities and risks within the environment
- Risk Management
- Manage and mentor a team to ensure deliverables are on time and of a high quality
- Build features, with unit tests that can support our large and growing user base
- Whiteboard new features and fixes -- and bring it to life
- Collaborate with peers to write, review, or provide feedback on a technical design proposal
- Help our skilled support team triage and solve bugs
- Contribute to internal tools that help us improve our development process, manage our users, and scale our systems.
- Participate in your teams’ morning standup meeting
- Coding responsibilities
- Produce clean maintainable and scalable code
- Maintain well-structured Solutions in Source Control, ensure that major updates to a solution are branched
- Follow established application design standards, policies, and procedures
- Ensure solutions is aligned with architecture
- Ensure all new development/updates/changes go through an appropriate testing process
- Ensure all code deployed to QA is working and self-tested before handed over to QA
- Install, research, test, and verify proper functioning of software updates
- Ensure that the dev and staging environments are in a well-managed and maintained state
- Provide input into the design of software systems, offering advice and thoughts and providing feedback
- To provide support for a system including analysis, tracking and resolution
- To utilise approved technologies for the development of systems, or introduce new technologies based on research you have performed
- Take part in the work planning and tracking process
- Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice with other team members and divisions to improve skills
- Solve complex technical problems
- Develop and mentor other developers
- Deliver at a high velocity
- Provide team members with technical consultancy and code reviews
- Ensure all applications have sufficient logging and monitoring
- Ensure high up time and low production issues on software
- Set up and Configure CI/CD pipelines

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
- Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
- Team Management (5+ years)
- Solution Architecture and Design
- RESTful API Development using .NET Core (2+ years’ experience)
- C# (10+ years’ experience)
- SQL (5+ years)
- In-Memory & Distributed Caching (MS SQL)
- Development Experience in Microservices
- Unit Testing
- RabbitMQ
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
- Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
- Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
- Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
