Branch Accountant required in Brits North-West.
We are looking for an experienced Branch Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience in the Motor Industry and have worked within a group of companies.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Accounting/Bookkeeping
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years’ experience required as an Accountant
- Computer literate; MS Excel and Evolve experience required / will be advantageous
- Must have a strong personality
- A stable work record and contactable references
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Able to work under extreme pressure
- Very deadline-driven orientation
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the trial balance, income statement & balance sheet
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Preparation and reporting on monthly management accounts to management
- Performing day end, month end and year-end processes
- Expense provisions management
- Loading payments
- Reviewing allocated Creditors teams and managing Clerks
- Cashbook management
- Petty cash management
- Ensuring internal controls at branches are in accordance with Company standards and relevant legislation
- Reviewing, designing, documenting, and implementing systems of internal control
- Communication and training of internal controls to relevant staff
- Regular internal audits at branches
- Fixed Assets management
- Updating and reconciling fixed asset registers
- Ensuring depreciation is processed monthly
- Installment Sales Agreements management
- Allocation of interest paid and deferred interest
- Balancing of ISA control account to monthly statements
- Yearly asset verification
- Processing of year-end journals
- Budgeting
- Liaising with management on preparation of the annual budget
- Capturing of budgets
