Job DescriptionWe're currently hiring a Head of Operations for one of the fastest-growing companies in the online FMCG space. This role will be based in London, with hybrid working and will also include travel to regional hubs.
This business is revolutionizing how consumers shop for their favourite products and are regularly listed as one of the fastest growing businesses in their space.
Reporting into the Supply Chain Director, this role will lead and manage a medium-sized team, overseeing all operational functions, from supplier management through to last-mile delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee end-to-end operations, including supplier management, inbound, logistics, and final-mile delivery, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of operations professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, cost-effectiveness, and availability.
- Expansion: Support the company’s growth strategy, ensuring operational readiness for entry into new areas and markets.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and optimize processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Strategy: Work closely with the leadership team to define and implement the long-term operational strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and make informed decisions for process enhancements.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to international regulations, including health & safety, environmental standards, and legal requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a operations leadership role, ideally within logistics, FMCG, e-commerce, or consulting
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- A track record of driving operational efficiency, scaling operations, and implementing process improvements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making.
The successful candidate can expect a base salary between £65,000 and £80,000 plus a competitive compensation package and an awesome working culture.
