You're a seasoned Strategic Account Manager with a proven track record in negotiating complex software deals and a deep relationship with HSBC globally. With seniority and gravitas, you command respect through your comprehensive understanding of HSBC's internal structure, decision-making processes, and regulatory environment. Your ability to navigate the bank's complex organizational matrix—balancing diverse stakeholders' needs while aligning solutions with HSBC's strategic priorities—demonstrates your political awareness and capacity to influence at the highest levels of leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers at the global HSBC organization
- Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling software solutions across various regions
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and needs assessment to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring alignment with client goals
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or challenges
- Understand client’s business and industry to provide tailored solutions that align with their long-term strategy and operational needs
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product development, marketing, legal, and support) to deliver on client expectations and ensure successful implementation of solutions
- Monitor and report on account performance, tracking revenue, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Navigate complex organizational structures within HSBC, managing multiple stakeholders and understanding internal political dynamics
- Lead account planning efforts, developing and executing strategic account plans to drive growth and a long-term partnership
- Ensure contract renewals and retention, mitigating churn risk through proactive engagement and relationship-building
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record of growing and developing the HSBC relationship
- Developing excellent relationships internally and externally and success through others
- Proven connections in the Financial Services sector especially in the retail, commercial, and corporate banking segment
- Expertise in relationship and consultative selling
- Ability to gain a deep understanding of a client’s business, identifying challenges and opportunities, and positioning solutions to address those needs
- Proven ability to articulate value propositions and ROI
- Proven ability to manage sales with multiple decision-makers
- Proven ability to coordinate internal resources to complete the sale
- Demonstrated track record of building and managing a sales pipeline and achieving or exceeding quotas
- Proven ability to match customer needs with solutions
