Job & Company Descriptions A company based in Centurion is currently looking for a Head of HR to join the team. This role is designed to propose and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with overall HR goals, while also leading the HR team to deliver exceptional HR services across the organization.
As a Head of HR you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead and manage the HR team, ensuring that all objectives and goals are achieved.
- Oversee performance management processes and ensure applicable risks are addressed.
- Approve payroll and ensure alignment of HR projects with business strategy.
- Deliver high-quality HR services in a timely manner and implement HR best practices across all functions.
- Develop and execute recruitment and selection strategies, as well as induction and onboarding processes.
- Ensure adherence to HR best practices and remain updated on the latest trends.
- Execute the Employment Equity (EE) plan and fulfill all Employment Equity manager responsibilities.
- Create and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy, focusing on enhancing employee performance and achieving organizational goals.
- Foster a learning culture and environment that encourages continuous development.
- Stay informed about employee training needs and requirements.
- Define and implement performance and reward strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational culture and objectives.
- Monitor and report on non-financial rewards and market-related salaries.
- Establish organizational practices that promote sustainable performance and the achievement of targets.
- Implement methods to measure progress towards individual and team objectives.
- Develop and execute succession and career planning strategies, identifying critical positions and high-potential employees.
- Implement leadership development plans and prepare for succession in key roles.
- Define and execute an employee retention strategy, including retention initiatives and development plans.
- Execute strategies to enhance organizational culture and employee engagement, including wellness initiatives and engagement activities.
- Conduct job analyses for all vacancies, ensure necessary psychometric assessments, and provide constructive feedback to management and employees.
- Generate value-added reports on attrition, BEE appointments, staff surveys, recruitment costs, and other relevant metrics.
- Compile and manage the yearly function and HR budgets and provide reporting to the management committee.
Qualifications: Completed Degree with specialization in HR/Industrial Psychology
Skills: Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
Oversee payroll management
Manage employee engagement initiatives
Handle recruitment processes
Address legal HR issues
