A well-established national supplier of industrial compressed air equipment has an opportunity for an experienced, technically minded External Sales Rep to cover Cape Town and surrounds.

- Articulate your targets and how you track against them
- Explain your lead generation and business development/cold calling process and strategy
- Operate against deadlines to meet target
- Motivate and manage yourself under pressure
- Proactively take action to meet target
- Influence decision makers to create a win-win deal
- Communicate with necessary internal parties while operating externally with clients
Suitable Experience
- 3+ years experience in industrial capital sales equipment - CNC lathes, pumps, valves, compressors, laser cutters, pneumatic or hydraulic machinery, generators, etc.
- Successful track record of cold calling and converting clients
- Syspro knowledge is advantageous but not required
Non-Negotiable Skills
- Driver's licence
- Computer literate
Responsibilities
- Compressor sales in Cape Town and surrounds
- Plan and prioritize sales activities towards achieving agreed business aims
- Plan and manage business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction
- Record, analyze, report and administer according to systems and requirements
- Create, maintain, and provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and funnel information
- Be prepared to carry out any special request and to discuss any alternative solutions
- Meet or exceed customer expectations
