Renewable Energy company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their vibrant team.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be a crucial team member responsible for driving growth and market expansion within a specific product segment at our energy storage Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). BDM will play a strategic role in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring the successful commercialisation of our energy storage solutions.
Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development: - Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities within the designated product segment.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to penetrate target markets and achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product positioning, development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of our energy storage solutions.
New Business Development: - Identify and prioritise new business opportunities within the product segment, leveraging market insights and industry connections.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial prospecting and lead generation to delivery through the channel, supported by engineering, internal sales, account managers and technical support to deliver excellent operational service.
- Drive the development of tailored proposals, presentations, and business cases to effectively communicate the value proposition of our offerings to potential clients.
Sales Forecasting and Performance Tracking: - Monitor sales performance metrics, pipeline progression, and revenue forecasts to track progress against targets.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer on sales activities, market trends, and competitive insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation of sales operations.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the energy sector or related industries.
- Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
