Role: Delivery Engineer – EV Powertrain Programme
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Work Model: Onsite (Office-based)
Contract: 6 months with extension (B2B Contract)
Day Rate: Market rates (Inside IR35)
Role Overview
Our client, a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions is urgently seeking an experienced Delivery Engineer to support the engineering delivery of EV propulsion systems across vehicle programmes. You’ll help ensure programme targets are achieved through strong planning, issue resolution, stakeholder coordination, and engineering oversight from concept through validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams delivering EV powertrain systems
- Monitor engineering delivery health and drive resolution of risks and issues
- Manage programme plans, timelines, and mitigation strategies
- Drive powertrain engineering activities including requirements, supplier alignment, design release, prototyping, and validation
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and programme teams
- Ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and programme requirements
- Act as the day-to-day engineering contact within Programme Management
- Drive collaboration between OEM and supplier engineering teams
- Support performance tracking of the Engineering Delivery function
- Promote continuous improvement in delivery processes and governance
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering engineering projects using structured or agile methodologies
- Strong knowledge of programme planning, monitoring, and risk management
- Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving capability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex environments
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders within programme environments
- Demonstrated experience managing senior technical stakeholders
