*The Role:*
We are looking an surgery based Salaried GP for a maternity leave cover fixed term contract to commence from November 2025 to December 2026.
Hours: 6 sessions per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays with one late night per week (till 8pm).

*Role objective*
To provide general medical services across all sites as required. To support the Partners and manage a busy clinical caseload covering a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting whilst ensuring the highest standards of care for registered and temporary patients.
*Clinical Responsibilities:*
* To undertake a variety of duties including routine and on-call surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion in accordance with Practice requirements.
* Ensuring appropriate professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
* Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
* Providing counselling and health education.
* Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
* Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to appropriate standards.
* Collation of data for audit and QOF purposes.
* Compiling and issuing appropriate computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
* In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all of the usual duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Entry onto the Performers List
Primary Medical School
Qualification BM BS
Certificate of Completion of Training from PMETB (or equivalent), including family planning
*Desirable Qualifications:*
MRCGP, IUCD, Sexual Health.
DFFP with LARC
Occupational Health
