Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic and MOT Tester to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems or malfunctions
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
- Complete repairs in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime for customers
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex mechanical problems
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and customers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
-Mot Tester
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certification from a recognized automotive training program is preferred but not required
- Previous experience as a Mechanic is preferred but not required
