We are seeking a skilled and Qualified MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for ensuring vehicles meet safety standards. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining road safety by conducting thorough inspections and tests on various vehicles.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct MOT tests on a range of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
* Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs performed.
* Provide clear explanations to customers regarding any issues found during testing.
* Ensure the workshop is kept clean and organised at all times.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment.
*Experience*
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
* Previous experience as an MOT Tester is essential
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
