Join the finishing team to fettle castings and metal parts prior to paint/machining. Work includes removing gates/risers/flash, grinding and dressing to specification. The role involves noise, vibration and dust — appropriate controls and PPE are provided.
Key Responsibilities
Grind, trim and de-burr castings to specification and visual standards
Use hand grinders/linishers and local exhaust ventilation correctly
Carry out basic visual inspection and complete simple paperworkSkills & Experience Required
Experience in fettling, grinding or similar metal finishing
Good awareness of safe working practices (LEV/RPE, vibration)
Able to read simple drawings and follow quality requirements
Strong attention to detail and housekeeping standardsWhat We Offer
