Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist façade contractor with nearly 50 years of experience delivering high-profile projects across central London. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction who is looking to develop their commercial skills within a leading, design-led subcontractor.
This role is office-based (Monday–Friday) and will involve working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage procurement, cost tracking, and supplier coordination across a portfolio of large-scale façade projects.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting the commercial team with procurement and material tracking

Managing procurement schedules and supplier communication

Monitoring budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting

Assisting with invoice approvals and order placement

Coordinating with site teams to respond to material or procurement needs

Reading and understanding technical drawings and project specifications

Maintaining accurate records of costs, orders, and deliveries
Candidate Requirements

1+ year experience in a similar construction/commercial role

Strong administrative and organisational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial tracking

Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with suppliers and project teams

Good understanding of construction drawings and materials

Experience within façades, cladding, or subcontractor environments (advantageous)

Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (preferred)
