Position: Finance Assistant
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Location: Ayrshire, Scotland (Office-based)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records.

Support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company deadlines.

Assist with bank reconciliations and managing petty cash.

Process and manage accounts payable and receivable.

Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve any financial queries or discrepancies.

Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Help streamline finance processes and improve efficiencies within the finance function.
Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within the FMCG sector, although candidates with a strong finance background from other industries will also be considered.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and finance procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (knowledge of VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).

Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
