Production Manager
Overview:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from planning to execution. This includes managing a team of farmers, implementing efficient irrigation systems, and maintaining high-quality produce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production plans in collaboration with the management team
- Supervise and manage a team of farmers to ensure optimal crop yields and quality
- Implement and maintain efficient irrigation systems to minimize water waste and optimize crop growth
- Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent overstocking or understocking
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and other necessary inputs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, Farm Management, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in vegetable farming
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and achieving production targets
- Strong leadership skills and ability to make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
