We are seeking a qualified MOT Tester/Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet the necessary safety and environmental standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics.

*Duties*

* Perform MOT tests in accordance with DVSA guidelines and regulations.
* Inspect vehicles for compliance with safety standards, including brakes, lights, and emissions.
* Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding any necessary repairs or adjustments.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
* Stay updated on changes to legislation and best practices within the industry.

*Skills*

* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
